  WELCOME TO
PRAIRIE FIRE GYMNASTICS

Meet the Owners

Diana Strayer - Diana and Tim Strayer, as well as their children, Cassie and Jake, have been a part of the Prairie Fire Gymnastics family since 2006. Diana and Cassie are actively involved in all aspects of PFG, from the coaching of the recreational and team gymnasts to the running of the office. Many who have been around PFG have met Cassie and Diana as they move around the gym fulfilling all their roles.

Diana has always been involved in sports since a young age. She has coached a combined 20+ years in multiple sports; 14 of those years in the gymnastics area. Cassie has been active in the sport of gymnastics since 2000. She competed up to Level 9 when an injury set her out of the sport. Jake has been involved in racing since the age of 4 and helps around the gym when needed.

As parents of a former gymnast, Diana and Tim have a great understanding of the demands of the sport of gymnastics.

Jeri Roland - Jeri and Dan Roland have been part of PFG for many years with the participation of their daughters, Kennedy and Briar, and son, Luke. Their family participates in harness racing, farming, wrestling, and of course, gymnastics. Jeri and Dan both work for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance and have been long time residents of the Grinnell area.

Their daughter Kennedy, now in college, was part of the competitive gymnastics team at PFG. Luke, also in college, is a talented wrestler who enjoys being in the gym to work on his flexibility and strength to improve his wrestling skills. Briar, their youngest daughter, is fearless and shows great promise as an up and coming gymnast.

Main Gym

We are proud to provide excellent gymnastics instruction. PFG offers club gymnastics in a 10,500 square foot facility. We offer both recreational gymnastics, as well as a competitive program for those who enjoy a competitive format. We offer full women's artistic gymnastics equipment including vault, bars, beam and floor exercise.

Enclosed Kindergym

This portion of our facility allows the younger children to have a place to participate in class without worrying about being run over by larger children. We have a wall separating the kindergym from the main gym allowing freedom of movement in the developmental classes.

Men's Equipment

We also offer "boys only" classes with men's competition equipment including the high bar, rings, parallel bars, vault, floor, mushroom, and pommel horse.

Pro Shop

We also offer a pro-shop with leotards, unitards, shorts, and t-shirts for sale. We offer GymDigs Leotards and gently used leos from girls in the gym. Stop by and check out our stock.
